Eleven new playgrounds for the garden city

The second stage of the redesign of the playgrounds in the garden city of Alt-Lößnig has begun. All eleven inner courtyards should be completed in late summer this year.

The playground project is considered a unique project to date. On the one hand, this concerns the dimension of the complete renewal, but also the approach to the investment.

First, the LWB had invited the children of the residential area to paint and make their own play wishes in an ideas workshop. The imaginative and astonishingly precise results were ultimately the inspiration for the planning architects. They used them to develop a concept for all the courtyards and placed it under the heading "Fire, Water, Earth and Air".

The four elements can already be discovered in the first construction stage. For example, a climbing plane has landed, there is a muddy field to play on, air jumps are practiced on a trampoline and an adventure ship is boarded again and again by the children. This year there will be a spectacular castle complex and, for example, a playground for the very youngest children.

In addition to the playground equipment, the LWB is building new seating, paths are being laid out, hedges are being added and floor coverings are being renewed.
